editorial Oversight at The airbel impact lab

New York City, USA & Amman, Jordan | 2018-2021

From 2018-2021, I managed a content calendar and corresponding web platforms for 50+ ongoing global research and innovation projects.

When project leads wanted to tell a story or publicize a development, they came to my team. We provided editorial quality control to ensure that their words aligned with our team’s brand identity and thought leadership goals.

We published content on Medium and the team website, and worked with the cross-cutting team to identify other earned media opportunities for broader exposure.

Reflections on 3 Years

This piece highlighted the work that had been done so far by the International Rescue Committee’s innovation team. It featured multimedia content from projects alongside more process-driven insights.

Highlighting Institutional Priorities

These thematic pieces focus on the team’s three thematic focus areas. This effort aimed to go beyond individual projects to showcase high level areas of workfor pitching stories, fundraising conversations, and even internal awareness-raising. These pieces were ghost-written by a member of my team with my oversight and editorial supervision.

Showcasing Project Progress

I oversaw the creation of project pages to capture institutional knowledge around historical projects and to showcase the progress of ongoing projects. This involved creating standard metadata and guidelines around character counts and tone, while also supporting project leads to generate their own content.
