A Food System Strategy for Afghanistan

I traveled to Kabul to support the Country Strategic Planning process. To do so, I captured and synthesized the knowledge of long-time staff and partners within a report, and used the global food systems framework to align it with the organization’s strategic direction.

About the report

As part of the country strategic planning process, programmatic leadership wanted to ensure that findings from the past decade of work with smallholder farmers was adequately understood and represented. They brought me to Kabul to capture the technical knowledge 

What I did

I conducted interviews with internal staff and external partners, including government officials, processing partners, and donors. Based on these findings, I developed a lengthy strategy document and a corresponding more easily digestible fact sheet.
